On the 26th June I flew from London via Oslo to Tromso, Norway for a lovely week sailing with the Vagrants.
We had a nice walk through the city and up to a lake, tried out frisbee-golf, followed by tapas and a healthy amount of beer tasting. The 24h daylight was going to take some getting used to.
The weather was great as we set sail the next day for Risvika.
I wasn't expecting to see reindeer wandering down to the beach, making the most of the short summer.
The weather was perfect as we sailed over to Vengsoy the next day and hiked up through the thick spongy vegetation on the hillside. Around this time Phil came up with a temporary fix for the water maker which had been shutting itself off instead of doing its job.
The next day we flew the kite to Sommeroy where we anchored and had a try at fishing. We got lucky with a starfish and a massive cod, which was slightly too small to keep on closer inspection.
We made good use of the fire pit facilities next to the beach on the nearby island.
